NZ's first Certified Hotel - Langham Hotel Auckland
Accolades continue to come for Langham Hotel Auckland who successfully Benchmarked and Certified their Five-Star property within 4 months! Congratulations on this absolutely impressive achievement we are certainly proud of the steps you have taken since your extensive refurbishment. We applaud Langham Hotel for their ongoing commitment to improving their operations and undergoing the Green Globe Certification Risk Assessment.
Langham Hotel achieved Best Practice in Water Saving initiatives, Paper, Cleaning Products and Pesticides. Since their first Benchmarked assessment Langham Hotel have made an impressive reduction in Water Consumption, moving from Baseline to 36% above Best Practice, all other indicators where above Baseline which means that they are operating above average.
While Langham Hotel are still developing and planning for improvements they have implemented a number of initiatives that have been reflected in their Green Globe Benchmarking, including low flow aerators on all their showers and taps and generating a small portion of their own energy with an heat exchange unit. The Langham Hotel continues to show its commitment to better and more sustainable business by employing a full time Environmental Projects Supervisor, Nicholas Blake. We continue to look forward to working with Langham Hotel to continue to achieve their sustainability goals.
