There are many cities in Newzealand, but Queenstown is one of the best part of the country. It is an exhilarating, year round, alpine resort, perfect for adventurers and leisure seekers alike. Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, overlooked by the majestic Southern Alps, Queenstown is recognised internationally as New Zealand’s premier visitor destination. Queenstown’s most popular pastime however is skiing. There are a number of world class ski fields that operate during the northern hemisphere’s summer. Queenstown also has a fine range of shops and restaurants as well as an abundance of tour operators and travel agents. Head out of Queenstown and the drama of the Central Otago landscape unfolds around you. If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan you’ll recognize many of the locations of Middle-earth here. Twenty minutes from Queenstown, Arrowtown’s gold-mining history is alive and vibrant. Visit the Lakes District Museum or go gold panning. Queenstown is also the world’s southernmost wine and cuisine centre and is famous for its Pinot noir which fetches premium prices. If you want to truly absorb the splendour of the New Zealand outdoors, there is only one thing to do and that is to walk. The drama of the landscapes evolve step-by-step. You hear the sounds of nature. The city is full of natural beauty and you will feel relief when you come here because of peace. Wildlife, normally hidden, presents itself. There is nothing but you and that place that you’re in. Summer pursuits during long hot days on Queenstown’s lakes include fishing, hiking and relaxation. Autumn’s crisp, clear days offer great golfing conditions, and the colorful contrast of falling leaves against a mountainous landscape. In winter, snow-covered mountains attract crowds of skiers and snowboarders to nearby ski-fields for an action-packed season that often lasts into spring.

Tourism is a major industry in Rotorua, and for good reason, the tourism
services are therefore well developed and the accommodation selection is
wide and varied. Tourists can find comfortable, affordable lodgings from
people looking to sell timeshare properties in Rotorua and will have
the luxury of returning to this fine part of the world again and again. Rotorua is a city on the southern shores of the lake of the same name, in the Bay of Plenty region of the North Island of New Zealand. Rotorua is a major destination for both domestic and international tourists, Rotorua is the heartland of Maori culture with many opportunities to experience authentic Maori villages, arts & crafts, hangi food and traditional song & dance performances. There are several other lakes nearby. Along with the geothermal wonders, there are also the more usual water activities such as fishing and boating. Tourism is a major industry in Rotorua, and for good reason, the tourism services are therefore well developed and visitors should definitely make a stop at the Tourist Information Centre on the main road, Fenton Street. In addition to providing the foundation for regional Maori mythology, geothermal activity in the region has spawned a brisk and longstanding spa culture and tourist trade. The area was initially settled by Maori of the Te Arawa iwi. Rotorua International Airport is located 9 kilometresnortheast of the city centre, off State Highway 30. Bus services are provided by Intercity Coach and Naked Bus. All services arrive and depart from the main tourist information centre on Fenton Street. Rotorua is one of the most common places to try the traditional maori feast, the Hangi. This “earthen oven” technique is similar to the Hawaiian Umu and results in a very distinctive smoky earthy flavour – well worth trying

Gisborne is a city in northeastern New Zealand and the largest settlement in the Gisborne Region. The city has that special ‘x’ factor that makes a break away from the daily hustle and bustle of big city living so relaxing and enjoyable. The city of Gisborne is located at the north end of Poverty Bay. The white cliff headland of Young Nick’s Head at the other end of the bay is visible from the city.

When it comes to going on holiday, there’s a huge amount of choice in terms of destinations, travel companies and types of vacation. No matter who you are or what you’re looking to do during your precious time away, there’s something out there to meet all your needs. Some holidays are just more popular than others though, so read on to find out what they are! Getting a low cost holiday means saving money and from that money you can buy yourself variety of cuff links or jewelry for your partner.

The common theme across the board for most holidaymakers is that they don’t want to spend a lot of money if they can help it. Aside from that, everything else is usually secondary. Low cost holidays allow you travel to the best destinations for a fraction of the cost, so it’s no wonder they are hugely popular.

There are so many types of cheap vacation available it’s actually quite surprising. Without a doubt though, the top 5 most popular options are: all inclusive holidays, package deals, family vacations, private villas and last minute holidays. It’s obvious that everyone is different and has different tastes, but you can’t escape from the fact that some vacations fit the bill better than others.

It’s no secret that some people have more money to spend than others, but it’s all relative so whether your idea of cheap is a few hundred pounds or a few thousand, the sky is the limit in terms of choice. Of course different destinations cater accordingly, so everyone can enjoy jetting off to the Mediterranean, Caribbean or even Indian Ocean. Cheap holidays make even the most exclusive destinations reachable.

The bottom line is that there’s no point in paying top dollar for a holiday when there are so many cheaper options out there. There’s a wide range of choice, but some stand out more than others. And don’t worry about destinations either, as the world is your oyster!

The ski resorts in New Zealand offer premier snow, the longest season in Australasia, and a variety of terrain. Discover the best places to ski and hit the slopes this winter. Check out our comparison of the different resorts to help you choose where to ski this winter. Few such resorts are… Coronet Peak: Shoot up the mountain on a short 20-minute drive from Queenstown to ski and snowboard the renowned terrain and snow. there are plenty of places to eat, drink and sleep. The coolest thing about Coronet Peak is night skiing. 1) Whakapapa and Turoa
Whakapapa and Turoa in the North Island currently have tons of snow (Whaka base 245cm, Turo 285cm) and top to bottom skiing, and you will get 5 times the skiing on either of those areas than any south island area. Whakapapa is stonking, great chutes, steeps, long fast groomers, epic hiking, whatever takes you.
2) Ohau, Canterbury
Ohau’s ski area is ideal for beginners because of the gentle slopes. The people who live and work in the area are well known for their friendliness — it’s a small place, after all. If you’re part of a family looking for a fun and secluded ski holiday, this may be just what the doctor ordered
3) Treble Cone
Visit the largest skiable area resort in the South Island and ski and board the off piste terrain with amazing views. If you want to take on this mountain, a higher level of experience is vital. Fans of Treble Cone love the ski destination because of its natural undulation and powder snow, and if that’s not enough to faze you, wait ’til you get a load of the dazzling scenery across Lake Wanaka as you come down the slopes.
4) Mt Ruapehu
Mt Ruapehu is home to the Whakapapa and Turoa ski areas. You’ll find huge snow filled basins, steep chutes, drop-offs and secret powder stashes, as well as world-class facilities and instructors.
5) Canterbury
60 minute drive from Christchurch airport and nestled in the lee of the Southern Alps, Methven is on the doorstep of Mt Hutt Ski Field and an amazing space for a perfect winter holiday. Methven has ample activities to sample such as jet boating, horse riding, hot air ballooning, mountain biking and 4WD high country adventures.Spring is inherently stormy and New Zealand is getting a typical spring with a constant progression of traditional cold fronts moving up the country from the south west.

When people have some time off from work or if it is nearing the holiday season, most people have the same thing in mind, “Where do I go for this holiday?” With travel being more accessible to almost any part of the world, the choices for your destination can get overwhelming. Add to that are the endless choice of vacation packages that travel agencies offer for your ease and convenience. Here are some of the things to look for when searching a good holiday deal.

Reasonable price – you want your vacation to be worth or even more than what you paid for it. There’s nothing more satisfying than going home afterwards, content, full of wonderful memories and good experiences from the trip, and thinking that the whole thing was money well spent. In relation to this, make sure to ask if the price you are quoted is final and that no additional or hidden charges will surprise you later on.

Details of the holiday deal – don’t just look at the price and be reeled in because it’s affordable. While there’s nothing wrong with cheap holiday deals, you might not like the things that are included in the package. There could be tour destinations or activities that you are not interested in, you might be travelling in a large group, or the accommodations are not to your liking. You are better off paying more if it means you can do what you want. If possible, ask the travel agency if they can provide you with a more personalized itinerary.
